(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - MP Mohammed Abu Juhaisha has warned that 800 orphans in Doura orphanage were threatened with losing their shelter due to lack of funds.
The lawmaker appealed in a statement on Monday to the benevolent people and concerned parties to rescue the shelter from collapse.
He said that 300 poor families were depending on financial assistance paid by this society in addition to 47 employees, who have no other salary.
The MP expressed surprise at the fact that allocations for the society were not paid since 30/11/2010, which threatened an acute financial crisis threatening the livelihood of hundreds of orphans and needy families.
